| Who can take advantage of the free xDZIS offer? |
| Any school district can take advantage of this offer. This offer is not available on a statewide basis. Any school district, school board, charter school, or private school can take advantage of this offer, as long as it meets the stated requirements. This offer is not available for statewide or regional offices. It is also not available as a hosted solution. |
| How long is the xDZIS offer be available? |
| There currently is not a deadline to take advantage of this offer. CPSI reserves the right to withdraw this offer at any time. |
| Is this xDZIS Open Source? |
| No, this is our SIF-certified zone integration server product that is previously been offered on a commercial basis. It is not Open Source. It is maintained by our developers only and it is not outsourced to any other developer. No code is provided. |
| Do I have to pay for shipping? |
| Not if your district is located in the US. Outside the US, shipping charges may apply. For US districts, we will ship the software via UPS Ground services. If you need it faster, please call us and we will try and arrange for faster shipping. |
| What do exactly do I get? |
| You will receive a boxed CD that contains the ZIS software, including documentation in electronic format, that covers how to set up and use the ZIS. Additional training, technical support, and installation support is available for an extra charge. |
| If I am an existing CPSI customer who already paid for our xDZIS. Can I get a refund? |
| No refund will be available for customers who have already purchased our xDZIS. However, if your district has under 15,000 students you can elect to discontinue paying technical support and switch to paying $75 per incident for the xDZIS only when your new support year is due. Please contact sales@vcasel.com for a new quote if you need one. |
| Is there a key file associated with this software? |
| Yes. The keyfile for districts under 15,000 students lasts for two years. Over 15,000 students, the keyfile lasts one year. The expiration date is tied to the support renewal date. |
| I have a quote from CPSI already that includes an xDZIS. Can I get a new quote? |

| I want to purchase additional products or solutions from CPSI along with the xDZIS. What do I do? |
| Just contact our Sales Department and we will work with you to develop a proposal that includes the xDZIS for no additional cost. We will still need to have the form completed and sent along with the purchase order, though. |
| How can I engage CPSI if I need additional set-up and/or integration assistance? |
| Since the offer only includes the xDZIS, you might want to use some of our solutions and services to enhance your SIF integration project. Just contact our Sales Department and we will create a project proposal. We also have partners who can help you with an integration project. |
| How much does it cost for CPSI to install the xDZIS? |
| We charge a $500 flat fee regardless of the size of the district. This includes installation of the software, agent registration in the appropriate zone, and ACL set-up for two SIF agents. It does not include any SIF agent installation, configuration or testing. You must provide remote access for the installation in the form of VPN or direct (RDP) access. CPSI is not responsible firewall configuration. CPSI is NOT responsible for the behavior of the non-CPSI SIF agents or products. |
| How do I know when a new version of the xDZIS is available from CPSI? |
| Most districts do not change versions of their xDZIS unless there is a compelling reason, such as acquiring a SIF agent that requires a specific version of the xDZIS. You can contact our sales department at 618.281.8898 to request the latest version of the xDZIS. You would be responsible for installing the upgrade yourself unless you choose to pay the $500 installation fee. If your district is paying the yearly technical support fee, please note that this fee does not cover installations. |
| If I am a district under 15,000 students and want to move from per incident support to annual support, what do I do? |
| Just contact our Sales Department at sales@vcasel.com or call 800-659-8240 and ask for someone in Sales. The pricing is available on our web site or we can send you a quote. |
| Can I install the xDZIS on multiple servers? |
| Yes and no. There are not very many instances where you will need to install the software on multiple servers, as it is an enterprise-wide software application. You can install the xDZIS on multiple servers but you will need to call our Sales Department and ask for additional keyfiles. The software MUST be installed on school district property only. No servers can be set up off-site even in a testbed situation. Please see the End User License Agreement (EULA) for more information. |
| Can I change the End User License Agreement? |
| Absolutely not. The End User License Agreement (EULA) is a legal document owed and maintained by CPSI and cannot be modified. |
| Do you offer xDZIS training? |
| Yes. We offer remote training via Live Meeting for $500 remote. The session lasts up to four hours. CPSI will provide one Live Meeting connection per district. The training covers installation, agent registration and minor troubleshooting as covered in the manual. This training session does NOT include the actual set up and configuration of the ZIS at your site. |
